We all know what Symbian OS has some catching up to do with iOS, WebOS and Android in terms of UI refinement and features. But coming 2011 this might just be happening as seen from some screenshots of upcoming Symbian 4.

These screen-shots emerged when Symbian Foundation posted few home screen UI shots on its developer wiki which showed things like redesigned widgets, app categories and search, pop-up menus etc. We would have been found them amazing if this was 2006 but UI on the phone’s are in advanced stages now. With iOS and Android doing something new every other week with releases. But I am hopeful Symbian will fight back after all it still got a decent mobile market share.
