TVS has launched a new keyboard ‘Gold Bharat’ on the eve of India’s 63rd Independence Day. This is the first keyboard to come with the new Indian Rupee sign on its keys. Though Rupee Font was available for download, what was missing so far was a keyboard that actually had rupee symbol on one of the keys and let you type in the symbol with ease. TVS has made it easier for the users to type the symbol directly without any hassle of downloading it.

The keyboard supports both USB and PS/2 interfaces and costs Rs.1,495. Ruppe symbol is integrated with ‘Grave Accent’ key (on the top left corner below ‘Esc’ key) on keyboard. The problem with Rupee font you earlier downloaded is that we had to sacrifice ‘Grave Accent’ key to use Rupee Symbol. But this will not be the case with Gold Bharat Keyboard. This keyboard allows you to use all the keys existing on normal keyboard in addition to newly added rupee symbol

Hi ram, to use the rupee symbol you need to download and install drivers for your keyboard… follow below steps.
Installing Drivers:
1. Download drivers here.
2. Copy “TVS-Gold-Bharat/Rupee Font Setup/RUPEE-TVSE.TTF” to folder “C:\WINDOWS\Fonts”
3. Run “TVS-Gold-Bharat/Rupee Font Setup/Setup/setuop.exe” and complete installation.
Using Rupee Symbol:
1. Select the “RUPEE-TVSE” Font from the drop down box of Fonts.
2. Press [ctrl + alt + 4] for Rupee Character selection from TVSE Keyboard.

But one problem is that the rupee symbol can only be written in word document.
