Samsung Galaxy Tab Officially Unveiled

Finally there is an end to long-awaited tablet computer from Samsung named Galaxy Tab . The formal announcement was made during a press conference at the IFA consumer electronics fair in Berlin.

Samsung has termed its tablet PC  as “smart media device,” and Galaxy Tab definitely has the specifications to back it up; here is the specification of Galaxy Tab

1. Android 2.2 support.

2. Cortex A8 1 GHz processor.

3. 512 MB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal memory (upgradeable).

4. 7-inch TFT-LCD display with 1024×600 pixel resolution.

5. 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED Flash plus an additional front 1.3-megapixel camera for video chats.

6. Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

7. dimensions  190.09 x 120.45 x 11.98mm.

8. 380 grams of weight.

9. Battery playback 7 hours

So now we have a stiff competitor for Apple iPad, you can count for the hardware which Galaxy Tab boast of but also the latest version of Android, two cameras, support Flash, support DivX, XviD, MPEG4, H.263 and H.264.

Samsung has partnered with Vodafone for the launch, and the Galaxy Tab will start selling in October in the majority of Vodafone’s European markets and later this year in the U.S and other markets.
