According to a new report from Experian Hitwise, Social network search term tops list for fifth straight year;Facebook top-visited Website for first year and Facebook was the top search term in 2010 for second straight year. For the second year in a row, 'Facebook' was the top search term among U.S. Internet users. The search term accounted for 2.11% of all searches. 44% of Online Sharing Occurs Through Facebook

Sharing widget AddThis, which is installed on more than 7 million domains and reaches more than one billion users per month with more than 300 services, released an infographic with some interesting statistics about about our sharing habits. 44% of shares occur through Facebook, which was 33% last year ('Like' button, no doubt). Shares over Gmail increased by 395%, outpacing StumbleUpon, Facebook and Twitter. Shares via MySpace and Friendster dropped 20% and 31% respectively. These figures from AddThis are not to be taken in lighter veins because the data which is gathered is by no chance a comprehensive one.
